Live What I Believe! (Wait, What's That?!)

Until I came to SWU I had always just gone along with what my family or my church believed, and I just assumed that I believed the same thing. In Freshman Seminar last semester, we were told to question what we believe and to not go off of what those around us believed. That has bothered me to this day and will probably continue to bother me until I finally figure out what it is that I believe. It has been really hard recently to figure out this one question, one question that could make or break me. The class that has pulled my brain in so many different ways is Intro to Christian Education with Doc. That class has made me think harder about how I feel on different issues than any other class that I have ever taken. Being here at SWU has also pulled my brain in so many different directions. I feel that I go home, everyone thinks one way, I come back and everyone looks at the same issues differently. The song by Casting Crowns "Somewhere in the Middle" kind of defines how I feel on several different topics that tend to rise up all over the place.

  1. I think that's pretty normal Sis. I've dealt with a lot of that since coming to Faith, so I understand what you're dealing with. Remember, "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling". God will reveal Himself to you!!
